Three Ways Climate Action Offers a Business Advantage

The article linked in the title is from today's Climatbiz website news.

Interesting also to note that 12 large corporations have signed another letter to Congress advocating aggressive climate change regulation. These include the mega utility and coal customer Duke Power. "Duke reportedly severed ties with the American Coalition for Clean Coal Energy (ACCCE) on Tuesday, four months after leaving the National Association of Manufacturers in part because of its efforts fighting the Waxman-Markey legislation." cite.

Talkin' Science

It is often hard to talk about science with folks..Often today, the rules of public/media discourse are: (from Charles Pierce):

1) Any theory is valid if it moves a product
2) Anything can be true if someone says it loudly enough
3) Fact is what enough people believe and truth is how fervently they believe it.

Scientist & writer Randy Olson has just come out with a new book on talking science, "Don't Be Such a Scientist: Talking Substance in an Age of Style"
