"The University of Illinois has developed a free, open-source textbook titled “Sustainability: A Comprehensive Foundation” to serve as a comprehensive textbook for teaching introductory sustainability courses. It is designed for the new generation of e-readers with capability to view in a browser, save as a pdf, or print. As sustainability is a multi-disciplinary area of study, the text is written by the diverse faculty from three campuses of the University of Illinois: each chapter is written by a recognized expert in the field."
