McKibben in Rollingstone

Thanks for the head-sup Jerry.

That followed the warmest May on record for the Northern Hemisphere – the 327th consecutive month in which the temperature of the entire globe exceeded the 20th-century average, the odds of which occurring by simple chance were 3.7 x 10-99, a number considerably larger than the number of stars in the universe"....read the rest

So Bill McKibben names the fossil fuel industry as the "enemy" of the climate change movement. What he disregards is that the fossil fuel industry is playing the rules of the game of capitalism: make money for the stockholders (including the executives who have stock), pay the executive team well to live as the 1% (aka the American Dream), and do whatever necessary to make more money (campaign contributions). Capitalism is structured for corporations to do this. To name ONE industry, fossil fuel industry, is insane. They are just playing the game, and playing it well. If you don't like the game, then change the RULES. Don't single out a single player.
