Never Put All the Live Nymphs in the Same Container

Years ago i fly fished. When i went through my serious/fly tying/ match the hatch phase, i went out on the White River (Ashland Co./Wisconsin) to collect live samples of nymphs to use as models for my tying. Unfortunately, i put them all in one closed container, which was not artificially oxygenated. Upon returning home and opening the container i learned an important lesson. In the water was a single, bloated, suffocated dragon fly nymph with the end of a mayfly protruding from its jaws.

So, why am i telling you this? Remembered it while listening to this broadcast. The humans reminded me of that ravenous dragon fly nymph...
A good lesson on how we still do not know for sure, the ins and outs of advanced intelligence as a survival strategy.
